Benedicto XVI ha asegurado que Juan Pablo II, de quien se cumple el primer aniversario de su muerte, "dejó una profunda marca en la historia de la Iglesia y de la humanidad".
Joseph Ratzinger hizo esa afirmación durante el rezo tradicional del Angelus en la Plaza de San Pedro, donde se congregaron decenas de miles de personas.
"El 2 de abril pasado, el amado papa Juan Pablo II vivía a estas horas la última fase de su peregrinaje terreno, un peregrinaje de fe, de amor y de esperanza, que dejó una profunda marca en la historia de la Iglesia y de la humanidad", dijo Joseph Ratzinger.
