Durante la tarde del miércoles, una tromba azotó el municipio de San Pedro, causando daños severos e inundaciones en distintos sectores de la cabecera municipal, además de la caída de 100 árboles y el derrumbe de algunas fincas. Hospitales y viviendas quedaron inundadas, algunas de ellas con riesgo de colapso y la suspensión de electricidad. Además, la tarde de ayer se registró una fuerte lluvia, ahora en Matamoros, la cual dejó como saldo grandes encharcamientos en distintos puntos de la ciudad y en los ejidos del norte. El agua ingresó a los domicilios. La Dirección de Protección Civil informó que el fenómeno inició alrededor de las 5:30 de la tarde y duró poco menos de una hora, con gran intensidad. Posteriormente continuó de manera intermitente. De acuerdo con la Comisión Nacional del Agua (Conagua), la lluvia continuará en las siguientes horas.
