Haití conmemora el segundo aniversario del terremoto

Mantiene México apoyo a Haití a dos años del sismo.
Haití, señala, ha superado la etapa de la primera gran emergencia y la del suministro de ayuda y servicios para afrontar el día a día.
El empleo: esa es la principal preocupación de miles de haitianos, como Jean Elie, un ebanista de 26 años, quien se queja de que 'en un país sin trabajo el pueblo no puede vivir'.
Muchos de los afectados han encontrado fórmulas para salir adelante, pero otros viven con desesperación la realidad de un país donde comer cada día puede ser una auténtica odisea.
La empresaria haitiana Nadine Cardozo, superviviente del terremoto que asoló el país caribeño hace dos años, afirma que 'Haití no está condenado a vivir siempre así, porque no sería justo'.
El XV contingente de cascos azules de Ecuador, compuesto por 66 soldados, viajará a Haití para colaborar en las labores humanitarias y de ingeniería vial.
Casi mitad de la ayuda a Haití sigue pendiente a dos años del sismo.
520 mil personas que quedaron sin casa siguen viviendo en campamentos provisionales a pesar del tiempo transcurrido.
Se calcula que 1.5 millones de personas resultaron afectadas en la tragedia, que dejó más de diez millones de metros cúbicos de escombros.
Un terremoto de siete grados en la escala de Richter estremeció la capital, Puerto Príncipe, y varias ciudades aledañas con una devastadora sacudida que dejó algo más de 300 mil muertos.
El país caribeño recordó la fatídica tarde del 12 de enero de 2010.
Más de 500 mil aún viven en campamentos temporales.
El gobierno ha dicho que el desastre mató a 316 mil personas y desplazó a 1.5 millones.
Mujeres vestidas de blanco y hombres de traje caminaban hacia las iglesias de Puerto Príncipe.
El aniversario del sismo de enero de 2010 es un feriado nacional, por lo que no hay el tránsito que suele atestar las avenidas principales.
Las calles de la capital haitiana amanecieron tranquilas al cumplirse el segundo aniversario del terremoto que devastó al país.
