En algunas de las pancartas que portaban los manifestantes también se podía leer: "Este cuerpo es mío: No se toca, no se viola, no se mata"; "No soy una vagina caminante, exijo respeto"; "Ni putas ni santas, sólo mujeres"; "Soy mucha mujer y no tolero el abuso sexual"; "Hombre que se respeta no golpea ni mata".
El objetivo central de la manifestación fue exigir "no más muertes de mujeres en Panamá, no al machismo y no a la violencia doméstica", afirmaron.
En lo que va de año se han registrado 46 asesinatos de mujeres en Panamá, 30 de estos por su condición de mujer.
Desde hace más de un año los colectivos de mujeres luchan porque el Ministerio Público cree una fiscalía especializada para investigar los casos de violencia contra la mujer.
Los manifestantes gritaron consignas exigiendo una ley contra los femicidios.
"Bienvenidos a la Marcha de las Putas, estamos aquí para pedir el fin de la violencia contra las mujeres", fue la consigna con la que dio inicio a la protesta la abogada Deika Nieto.
Exigieron detener la violencia y los asesinatos de mujeres que, según denunciaron, ascienden ya a 46 este año, 30 de ellos por violencia machista.
Cientos de personas participaron en la primera "Marcha de las Putas" en Panamá.
