Celebran primeras bodas gay en el DF

En opinión del presidente del Tribunal Superior de Justicia del DF, Édgar Elías Azar, estas uniones ponen a la ciudad de México en una posición progresista, aunque reconoció que la última palabra la tendrá la Suprema Corte, la cual deberá respetarse y acatarse.
Las primeras parejas homosexuales casadas celebran el acontecimiento.
La derecha, que gobierna el país, no ve esta evolución con buenos ojos, y cuenta con el respaldo de la iglesia católica.
El propio gobierno de Felipe Calderón hizo saber que hará todo lo posible porque esta legislación propia a la capital sea declarada contraria a la constitución.
El acontecimiento contó con la presencia de numerosas personalidades políticas, entre ellas el alcalde Marcelo Ebrard.
Estas uniones fueron hechas posibles por la reciente legalización, en diciembre, del matrimonio homosexual, que solo se aplica en el Distrito federal mexicano, dirigido por el alcalde de izquierda Marcelo Ebrard. Pero la oposición conservadora no se resigna a esta evolución.
El Gobierno del Distrito Federal había aceptado 42 solicitudes más de matrimonios de personas del mismo sexo y rechazó una cantidad similar por no cumplir con los requisitos, en tanto que permanece atento a requerimientos de la Suprema Corte.
Entre protestas a favor y en contra afuera del GDF, se efectuaron las primeras cinco bodas entre homosexuales en la capital.
El magistrado presidente del Tribunal Superior de Justicia del Distrito Federal (TSJDF), Édgar Elías Azar, fue testigo de honor en las primeras bodas entre parejas del mismo sexo.
Cuatro parejas homosexuales formalizaron su matrimonio civil, ante el director del Registro Civil del DF, Hegel Cortés, en el Antiguo Palacio del Ayuntamiento. Una boda más se realizó fuera de la ceremonia oficial.
