Llegará a India el 'auto más barato del mundo'

Junto al vehículo, la firma lanzará una línea de accesorios Nano que incluyen un teléfono, un reloj y camisetas.
Tata tiene previsto lanzar en 2011 una variante europea del Nano, desvelada en la última edición del Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Ginebra.
Este vehículo ofrecerá una nueva forma de transporte para el pueblo de India.
Tata Motors confiaron en poder entregar los primeros 100 mil vehículos de 'precio protegido' en el plazo de un año a partir de julio.
La solución 'interina' de Pantnagar permitirá a la compañía entregar entre 50 mil y 60 mil unidades del Nano.
El precio mínimo para el modelo básico se garantizará sólo para los vehículos que se fabriquen en la planta que Tata Motors tiene en Pantnagar, en el estado norteño de Uttarakand.
El modelo más barato de Nano costará en un concesionario de Nueva Delhi 123 mil rupias y 134 mil en uno de Bombay.
Los 100 mil afortunados serán escogidos por sorteo dos meses después del cierre de solicitudes y empezarán a recibir su ansiado vehículo a partir de julio próximo.
Los aspirantes deberán formular su solicitud entre el 9 y el 25 de abril próximos y abonar tres mil 299 rupias (65 dólares), de las que dos mil 999 serán de depósito.
El presidente del grupo, Ratan Tata, detalló en dos comparecencias públicas en Bombay su 'plan B' para la puesta en el mercado del modelo 'Nano'.
El vehículo estará expuesto en los concesionarios a partir del primero de abril.
La crisis internacional, afectó al proyecto Nano, que ha supuesto para la compañía una inversión de 20 mil millones de rupias (casi 400 millones de dólares, al cambio actual).
Las primeras 100 mil unidades sólo se venderán por encargo y únicamente éstas tendrán el precio mínimo previsto de 100 mil rupias (mil 980 dólares).
El fabricante indio Tata Motors anunció que el 'coche más barato del mundo' estará en circulación a partir de julio próximo.
