La selección de Inglaterra atropelló este sábado a la de Ucrania con un contundente 4-0 en el estadio Olímpico de Roma, en un partido decidido por un doblete de Harry Kane, ya máximo artillero de su equipo con tres dianas, y goles de Harry Maguire y Jordan Henderson, lo que le permitió citarse con Dinamarca en las semifinales de la Eurocopa.

El equipo de los "Tres Leones" reforzó su candidatura y alimentó el sueño de un país de volver a conquistar un gran trofeo internacional tras la Copa del Mundo de 1966, la única de su palmarés. Sería la primera Eurocopa de la historia inglesa, tras la tercera plaza de la edición de 1968 y las semifinales de 1996.
