Los misiles Babur serán una significante contribución al arsenal de Pakistán, aunque no se ha informado cuál es su carga explosiva, ni el peso de las armas nucleares del país, agregó Karniol.
El presidente Pervez Musharraf recibió la prueba como un hito en la búsqueda de Pakistán por fortalecer y consolidar su capacidad estratégica y dijo que esto mejoró el balance militar con la India
"Llevando a cabo la exitosa prueba, Pakistán se ha unido a un selecto grupo de países que tienen la capacidad de diseñar y desarrollar misiles de crucero", dijo el militar en un comunicado.
